Forensic Five

The Forensic Five is a band of forensic interviewers from The Cottage Sexual Assault Center and Children's Advocacy Center. Our musical talent may be questionable, but our dedication to supporting survivors is unwavering! While we spend our days conducting forensic interviews and providing trauma therapy, we've stepped out of our comfort zone to raise funds for the free services The Cottage provides to survivors of sexual assault and child abuse. Our performance will feature a mix of musical optimism and endearing amateur enthusiasm, complete with what may be Athens's most anticipated triangle solo. We're participating in Athens's Got Talent because we believe in The Cottage's mission to provide free, high-quality services to survivors in our community. Jillian Best

I am a local yoga teacher at Shakti Yoga Athens and a Master of Social Work student at UGA with a love of singing! I’ve been singing since I could talk and spent a lot of time on stage as a teen performing in plays and musicals! Now a self-proclaimed Athens townie with a passion for community connection, I am bringing one of my favorite show tunes to Athens’s Got Talent’s stage. As a survivor myself, I am participating in the show to raise funds for The Cottage’s work providing essential services for all our community members who have ever experienced abuse or sexual violence. Everyone should have access to free, high-quality therapy, court advocacy, and support services when they need them so that they can move past crisis and toward a life they love to live. Every dollar you donate goes directly toward supporting survivors in our local community through the incredible work at The Cottage. There is no donation too small. Can’t wait to see you on stage soon!

Dance FX: Boys Hip Hop

Meet the groundbreaking crew from Dance FX – the first all-boys company group making waves! These five talented dancers bring unstoppable energy and creativity to the studio, fueled by their shared love of hip hop. Bold, fearless, and full of rhythm, these boys are redefining the dance floor, proving that hard work and passion create magic. Watch out – they’re just getting started!

Kathrynne Kelley

After graduating from the University of Georgia last May (Go Dawgs), I now work full-time as the Executive Assistant at Project Safe! In my rare spare moments I’ll grab a hotline shift or two for The Cottage as a volunteer hotline advocate. In those even scarcer leftover weekends I dress up as a princess for childrens’ birthday parties! I’m also a HUGE Dolly Parton fan – I’m hoping her essence possesses me for the show. This will be my first time playing guitar in public, so fingers crossed. I love getting involved in my community, and jumped at the chance to raise some money for The Cottage in their work supporting survivors! Mwah, cheers, so long, and don’t forget to donate! Libbaloops

Libbaloops is an electronic musician and looping artist based in Athens, Georgia. She offers fun interactive shows where audiences of all ages inspire the music and choose the sounds and instruments for each loop! Libba is thrilled to support The Cottage and participate in Athens’s Got Talent with such great performers from the community!

Caden Harvey

My name is Caden Harvey, I am 18 years old and I go to the University of North Georgia (Oconee) I am studying entertainment and media studies and hopefully one day will be in front of a camera doing all sorts of things. I love to play the piano and sing, it has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little kid. My act is playing piano and singing. The reason I am participating is to not only show my passion to everyone but to also show the audience you can do anything you put your mind to.

Ida & Gertie

Ida and Gertie are a couple of old broads that have been friends for 51 years. Every year they take a trip together, and this year, they are going to Disney World! Mickey, Minnie and especially Goofy, watch out! You never know what they are going to say or do next. Ida and Gertie are the alter-egos of Tracy Brown and Kat Farlowe. Tracy (Ida) is a realtor with Greater Athens Properties, a vocalist, actor, and community volunteer. Kat (Gertie) is a board member of The Cottage, a UGA retiree who still works part-time for the School of Social Work, and is just living life as full as possible. To support the tireless efforts of The Cottage, and by popular demand, Tracy and Kat are taking their show on the road, beginning with Athens’s Got Talent. So, respect your elders! We are old and we need your votes. Vote for us! No really, vote now and often for these two old broads.

JAWS

JAWS is an all-girl rock band from the Lawrenceville School of the Arts. Jaye is a bright and charismatic guitarist and singer-songwriter. Ari is their sweet and unassuming drummer who can also play guitar and sing. Wrigley, artistic and thoughtful, is their second guitarist and vocalist. Shaddai is their cunning and stylish bassist. Smart, kind, loud, and bold, together they create JAWS. We are so excited to perform on the AGT stage and support such an important cause, The Cottage! We are, "better than the rest" step team, starring, Dianna Felder and Lareaka lane. We are 11 year old girls but age does not matter when it comes to leadership and standing up for what we believe in. We thrive to be the best humans we can be and we hope you are doing the same. We are all about authority, precision, and pride. We stand up for all of young girls to rise above and always know their worth. We believe in you just as much as we believe in ourselves. And through our movements and expressions, we will ignite you on a new journey to success and happiness. Girl power!

Coaches from Fit Body Bootcamp

We are Coaches from Fit Body Bootcamp! We wanted to be able to introduce Fit Body Boot Camp and a healthy lifestyle in a humorous way! Exercise is hard but we know how to make it fun! Hopefully everyone will get a kick out of our antics and feel motivated to get healthier, one habit at time. Starting a new fitness or any new journey can often times be overwhelming and intimidating. We can try to take on way too many BIG challenges all at once. Then we can get frustrated and quit. We hope to inspire joy and laughs with our comedy skit!
